Virender Sehwag scored 219 runs from 149 balls, against West Indies in the fourth match of the series at Indore. Sehwag hit 25 fours and 7 sixes on his way to the new world record for the highest individual score in a 50-over match. Shehwag became the second cricketer to make a double century in One Day Internationals. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was the first to reach the milestone when he scored unbeaten 200 against South Africa in Gwalior on February 24, 2010.

He also went past 8,000 runs in ODIs during the innings.

India scored 418 runs for 5 wickets for 50 overs. Now West Iindies target is 419 to win the match.
